The NSN Scholarship program awards scholarships annually to Juniors and/or Seniors pursing a degree at one of the Historically Black Colleges or Universities. All scholarship award winners will be notified on or before May 1st. Presentation of scholarships will be made during the NSN National Conference.

Scholarship includes:

•    $1,000 Scholarship

•    One Year Membership to a local NSN Chapter

•    Interviews with select NSN National Conference Career Fair Companies

•    All expense paid trip and complimentary admission to the NSN Annual National Conference & Career Fair.

Scholarships are offered to female students in the name of NSN Board Member Agnes C. Lightfoot and to male students in the name of NSN Board Member John M. Watson, Jr.

About Agnes Lightfoot:

Agnes Lightfoot has been part of National Sales Network since its inception in 1987 New Jersey. She worked in various capacities from registrar to data base manager for the organization. She was the first National Secretary, the first NSN Meeting Planner and the first Editor of the Annual Conference Journal. Agnes is a member of the Board of Directors of NSN and periodically performs the role of Secretary for the Board as well as Chairperson for the NSN Scholarship Program.

About John Watson, Jr.:

John Watson is a member of the original team that created and organized NSN in 1987. He is the co-founder and the first President of the Chicago Chapter. John is currently the Chairman of the Board for the Chicago Chapter. He is a founding member of both the NSN Board of Directors and the national office, where he currently serves as VP of Operations.

 

NATIONAL SALES NETWORK

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

All Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application. Business majors are preferred, however, all majors will be considered. In this case your desire to pursue a career in sales and/or marketing is most important.

Applicants must submit a current transcript showing proof of a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA and minimum 3.0 GPA in your major. An unofficial transcript is acceptable with the application. Official transcript will be required before scholarship is awarded.

Applicants must submit a current copy of their resume.

Applicants must submit two letters of recommendations. The letters may be from faculty members, advisors, or employment supervisors.

Applicants must submit a minimum 300 word typed essay on one of the following topics:

“What are your greatest challenges entering the world

of corporate Sales and how you will handle them?”

Why do you feel sales is the right career for you?

Deadline: April 1st
